REVIEW - Ginger Anti-Dandruff Shampoo - The Body Shop

Hullo Lovely Ladies!

Last Month I picked up this Anti Dandruff Shampoo from The Body Shop.

I have always suffered with dandruff, It's not so bad that someone else would instantly notice it but it's something that gets on my nerves so I'm always trying to get rid of it.

I have used many anti-dandruff Shampoos, Including the very popular Head and Shoulders. I find they work for a few days but then my hair is back to normal and they don't do the job anymore.

I have read a few reviews on this product and was instantly taken in, It seems like a lot of people don't get on with other popular anti-dandruff shampoos but find that this one really worked.

The one thing I wasn't to excited about was the price, for a 250ml bottle it would cost you £4 for a 400ml £6. Not as expensive as some high end brands but more than the usual supermarket buys I pick up.

The good news is that at the time I found a great voucher code, which is still going on and if you look here then you can find some codes that I posted yesterday :-)

I really only buy The Body Shop products if they are on sale or I have a code. Every things great quality but way to expensive for me at full price, luckily The Body Shop have great offers frequently.

It has a clear base and smells amazing, as you may know Ginger is one of my favourite scents.

The frangrance isn't overpowering but does leave you hair smelling lovely for a few hours after you've washed it.

It lathers lovely and creamy.

It needs a bit more water than some Shampoos but that doesn't worry me.

Another great thing is that my scalp doesn't itch after I use it which is something that happens so frequently with my other hair products that it seemed weird when it didn't happen! :-)

After using it I noticed my hair dried lovely and soft, my dandruff decreased dramatically and I see no visible signs that I have dandruff which is amazing.

I have also noticed that my hair takes a lot longer to get greasy which I'm loving!

I have only been using my usual Aussie Conditioner once or twice a week and using this Shampoo every other day :-)

I will definitely be repurchasing this. Buying another 400ml bottle as I'm going through it quite quickly.

I just wish they made a Conditioner too :-)

Have you tried the Ginger Anti-Dandruff Shampoo?

  1. I've been using this shampoo for the last 9 years - every so often I run out and can't afford a new bottle for a while so resort to cheaper anti-dandruff shampoos... however with pretty much ALL other shampoos (believe me, I've gone through a LOT!) I get an itchy back and body where the shampoo has run over me as I wash it out of my hair, and it drives me crazy! Not only this - I don't suffer so much from dandruff as a severely sensitive scalp, after a few days of using 'normal' shampoo my scalp will be weeping and bleeding (yuck!) and the Body Shop Ginger shampoo is the ONLY shampoo I can use without having this problem, so I am a long term fan! It does make my hair super fluffy, lol, but a little bit of serum in the ends fixes that! xxx

    1. Ahh I 'm so glad I'm not the only one who has that!! I didn't even notice how bad the itchy-ness was until I used this shampoo :-) hehe it makes mine fluffy too but I don't mind that, quite like it as its looks healthier! The price is a bit of a downer but I have a felling next time they have there 50% off sale I will be buying in bulk!!! xxxx

  3. Hello! I actually bought my first bottle last February 3rd. It worked for me after trying a lot of products and other organic treatments. I want organic brands when it comes to dandruff treatment. I love the smell of this! :)

  4. To delve deeply into Anti-Dandruff is an exciting adventure. Many an afternoon has been enjoyed by a family, bonding over the discussion of Anti-Dandruff. While it has been acknowledged that it has an important part to play in the development of man, its influence on western cinema has not been given proper recognition. Inevitably Anti-Dandruff is often misunderstood by those most reliant on technology, who just doesn’t like that sort of thing. Complex though it is I shall now attempt to provide an exhaustive report on Anti-Dandruff and its numerous 'industries'.
