REVIEW - Leighton Denny - Supermodel

Hullo Lovely Ladies!

Hope your all having a lovely weekend, right this moment I'm watching The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, whilst grating some cheese for the home made pizza's and also writing this review! That's multi-tasking for you!!!

This is a short review on the famous Leighton Denny polish in Supermodel.

This is one of his bestselling colours and I can understand why.

Nudes are very popular right now,  not so long ago if you wanted a neutral "office friendly" manicure then your choices were very limited. Most people went with a french manicure or a light sheer pink. Now we have a huge selection of nude polishes ranging from peachy tones to beige tones!

This is one of my favourite polishes, its very pigmented and you could really work it with just one coat but I like to darken the colour slightly with two coats.

Its very smooth and goes on like butter. I have a few of these nude shades but use none of them as much as I use this shade, usually when wearing a neutral colour I go a day and then want to change it to something brighter. I don't feel the same with this shade. I wan't to wear it constantly :-)

My Nan visited yesterday and she going away Monday so she asked my to paint her nails for her. She loves bright colours on her toes but you will never see her wearing a bright on her hands so I showed her this colour and she feel in love with it too. It looks great on her and now shes going to get one for herself :-)

This was free in a magazine I bought but I really wouldn't be afraid to buy it again from somewhere like QVC. I'm looking to try a few more from his range too :-)

Have you tried Supermodel??

REVIEW - Bourjois 3D Effect Lip Gloss - Rose Lyric

Hullo Ladies!

Bourjois is a brand that I'm always drooling over whenever I'm in Boot's or Superdrug. The stand is so pink and pretty.  I also have a weakness for the parma violets scent that I find most of they're lip products have :-)

The sad thing is that they're quite expensive for a high street brand and it wasn't long ago that I didn't own anything by them.

Until I stopped into TK Maxx and noticed that they have been selling a lot of Bourjois products lately.

This lip gloss was one of the first things I picked up its a lovely shimmery pink, I don't find it too sticky and it's quite long lasting.

The lip gloss is called Rose Lyric and it's quite pigmented giving my lips a lovely rosy tint. It has some finely milled glitter but it doesn't feel rough on the lips at all which is great!

I love the applicator and find it much easier to use than the normal doe foot applicator.

The only thing I dislike about this product is that the letters rubbed so easily off the packaging but this is something that happens with even high end products.

Have you tried any of the Bourjois lip glosses?

Leighton Denny - Plush Pink - Review and Swatches

Hullo Beautiful Ladies!

So a few days ago I mentioned that I was going to be swatching my Leighton Denny polishes and first up is Plush Pink.

I picked this and Supermodel up in a Magazine and I'm so glad I did, this is a great pink and to look at it you would think that it was like any other pink polish out there but this is probably my favourite out of any that I own. It's unbelievably beautiful and very vibrant without being trashy in any way.

Plush Pink is a gorgeous, bright, blue toned pink with an amazing glossy finish.

I find that Leighton Denny nail polishes have fabulous formulas and this particular polish went on like butter, very smooth and pigmented.

I knew I was in love with this polish because I wore it for four days straight which is probably a record for me lately as I love to change my polish on a daily bases :-)

I really like the packaging of the Leighton Denny polishes, I think they look very professional but also simple and not too over done.

Leighton Denny polishes are usually priced at £11 each but you can get some great deals on the QVC Website and I have also seen some of his sets at my local TK Maxx but I was an idiot and didn't pick any up :-(

I will next time though :-)

Have you tried any Leighton Denny polishes? Have a favourite you can recommend?

GOSH Cool Lip Jams - Swatches and Reviews :-)

As you may know a few weeks ago I found loads of GOSH products in the clearance box in my local Superdrug, everything GOSH was just 99p  :-)

Here are the Cool Lip Jams, the packaging is lovely and very simple.

They're 15 ml which is amazing for a lip gloss.

Here are the swatches :-)

Lip Jam In 101

Clear base with a gorgeous blue iridescence.

You can just about see the shimmers in the picture.

Lip Jam in 106

A lovely sheer pink.

Nice on the lips, one I would wear alone or over a lipstick.

Lip Jam in 102

An opaque nude/peach colour.

Looks great over a nude lipstick.

These can be slightly gloppy if you apply then with a heavy hand.

They have a sticky texture which some people don't like but because of this I find them quite long lasting.

Like the name suggests they have a cooling feel to them, I wouldn't say they have a lot of tingle but the do feel fresh on the lips.

They have a lovely bubblegum scent which I really like.

Sadly I think these have been discounted in the UK as I've never seen them before on the GOSH stand in my local Superdrug :-( but you may be lucky and find them in your Superdrug's clearance box  :-)

I would say they where a great find for just 99p each but I might have been less happy with them If I had paid the usual £5-£6 for a GOSH lip product.

Recent Hauls and Bargains!

Hullo Gorgeous Ladies!!

So the last few days I've done a bit of shopping...nothing unusual :-)
I thought I would just show you what I picked up!

So I went into TK Maxx yesterday and I want a round of applause as I stuck to my promise and didn't pick up any Nails Inc!!! Yay! Did pick up some make up though .....Teheheh

They had a few sets for £7.99 that had a bunch of different brands, I picked up the Bourjois and UNE bag, it consisted of two Bourjois eyeshadow pots and one UNE Lipstick.

I've seen UNE in Boots a bunch of times but have never picked anything up as they seem quite expensive so it was lovely to be able to try out one of they're products for a great price.

After TK Maxx I stopped into Outfit which is a store that consits of many different brands, stopping at the Topshop part I noticed they had a sale on some of they're accessories .

The bracelet I had noticed on a blog post on the weekend and fell in love with, so I was really happy to find it!

As soon as I saw this ring I had to have it! It's so cute, reminds me of the cat from Alice in Wonderland, the  original, haven't seen the newest one yet :-(

Then today me and my mam went food shopping, which I hate doing by the way, I get so stressed out!

I noticed that they had further reductions on some of the N-SPA products and managed to pick up the Apple Mint Crunch Scrub for just 50p, It smells amazingly refreshing!

I recently finished my bottle of the Gingerbread Latte Bath Syrup and noticed that it was down to just £1 so I picked another bottle up as you may know It's a favourite of mine :-)

Lately I tried out the Palmers Cocoa Butter in a sample from a magazine and loved the smell, I've been looking everywhere for it but Boot's are charging £5.30 and I wasn't willing to pay as I was sure I'd seen it cheaper some where else, I picked it up in Asda for just £2.

On our way home from shopping my Mam decided to stop for some Bomb Cosmetics soap for my Dad, he loves it, I noticed that they had a sale so I picked up some stuff for myself :-)

I picked up some bath products, I couldn't see their names anywhere sorry as I found them in the little sale basket! They're so cute though!

I also picked up some Rycycled Exfoliation Gloves and a cute little heart on a string that's going in my bedroom :-)

Next we stopped in Superdrug because I really need to re-dye me hair! I want it to be a nice light Auburn colour so I picked a box up that was similar to what I wanted and then because they were 2 for £8.99 deal I picked up a darker red just  in case the light colour doesn't stick.

I'm still a bit faint over the next products I picked up!!

Yes...I'm hearing you gasp, I did too...that lovely yellow sticker! The one that tells us "Yes, you can have me...for cheaper than you thought." Why not buy 2 eh?? Maybe I did ;-) but that's for another day!

A Barry M Get The Look box for just 10p!

Inside the box are two Dazzle Dusts and a glitter eyeliner.

There's something magical when you find makeup and cosmetics on clearance. Even the shop assistant agreed, It really couldn't get better until I asked her about an ugly purple bag sitting in the clearance box...

She didn't know herself at first so we had a little look inside and found these amazing goodies, as soon as I saw the words "Max Factor" I knew the ugly little bag had to be mine...why???

It was down to 50p!!!!!

That's right so inside the little bag was a Max Factor Lip Gloss, Nail Polish and Mini Eyeliner.
A sachet of Aussie's 3 Minute Miracle Colour.
A mini hair brush, Nail file and Toe Separator.

I was excited to see the Aussie Sachet as I love their shampoo's and conditioner's, I think they have the best smelling hair products ever!

So that's my haul! I didn't realize how much I bought :-o

I'm off to dye my hair now!

Hope you've all had a great day.

REVIEW - I love... Strawberry and Milkshake - Lip Balm

 Hullo Gorgeous Ladies!

So I have had this I love....Strawberry and Milkshake Lip Balm for awhile now and I love it.

I have the Lemon and Lime one too but this is my favourite :-)

I love...is quite a popular brand lately as they have great quality products for inexpensive prices. It's just 99p!!

The best thing about this.....It smells amazing!!!

It has a true strawberry milkshake scent....you know...the good stuff! Hehe

It's very creamy on the lips without being waxy.

You get 15g of product which is huge for a lip balm.

Also If your like me and are always losing your lip balms somehow, for the price of this one your not going to be cut up about it.

Another great thing, It's fairly pigmented for a lip balm.

Sometimes If I want a nude lip without bothering with a lipstick this is what I put on, It really lightens my lips without any hassle.

You can buy the I Love...range at Superdrug :-)

Nail Polish Collection - Part 2 - Barry M

Hullo Lovely Ladies!!

To me Barry M is the best low end/drugstore nail polish brand out there, their formula is wonderful and they have a great range of colours to suit everyone. Also they're very inexpensive.

"Top Row L-R - Matt White, Berry Ice Cream, Lemon Ice Cream, Blue Moon, Blueberry Ice Cream, Cyan Blue and Spring Green"

"Bottom Row L-R - Raspberry, Shocking Pink, Block Orange, Coral, Pink Flamingo, Peach Melba and Strawberry Ice Cream"

"Top Row L - R - Black, Multi Glitter Black, Vivid Purple and Indigo"

"Bottom Row L - R - Copper, Black Red, Dusky Mauve and Teal"

So I have 22 here but I forgot to take a photo of Fuchsia but to be honest its nearly an exact dupe of Shocking pink. I also have the 3 in 1 Clear polish but I kept that for my base coats and top coats collection.

May favourite Barry M colour would have to be Cyan Blue, It so shockingly bright on the nails.

They have a lot of new colours out now that I really want to try, so I will probably be getting more in the not so distant future!

Whats your favourite Barry M Nail Paint???

Hope you are all having a great weekend!

NOTD - Nails Inc - Hanover Square

Hullo Lovely People!!

So last weekend I stopped in TK Maxx and picked up another Nails Inc Set, one of the polishes was Hanover Square.

It's a beautiful dark teal blue.

I love Nails Inc's creme polishes, they're so vibrant!

It's very pigmented and I got great coverage in just two coats.

You all know I'm a big fan of blue nail polish and I loved adding this to my ever growing collection :-)

This is just a quick post because at the moment I'm in the middle of a much larger post about my nail polish collection :-) I love those type of posts!

Hope you all have a great weekend!!
